How to be a Red Sox fan!

What’s the most important summer sport event that every Bostonian never wants to miss?
The answer will definitely be “Red Sox baseball game”.
My dear roommate Sage, who was a big Red Sox fan, happen to got two the last Red Sox home game tickets in this season from her friend, so after a long and busy day, we join in the last game with thousands of Bostonians.

There are some things as a foreigner or non local folks frequently asked before join in to the ball game:
1. How and where can I get tickets?
There are many ways to get tickets and the first and the most official way is to get it on “the official site of Boston Red Sox” website.
Right click the “Tickets” icon on the right side of the banner then you can start to pick the ideally seat and game you want to go. No matter you wanna go just one game or wanna join in for the whole season, all kind of tickets can satisfied you need and be found by this website.

But there’s a catch, since Red Sox is too popular and everyone can access internet anytime and anywhere, tickets are completely sold out 3-4 months before the season starts.
If you already missed the time to get tickets on official website, check this website
Ticketmaster:
Form here you can also find some good deal to join in the game.

What if you suddenly wanted to go to the game and you don’t even have any time and chance to access to internet?
Well, try your luck at the Fenway Park ticket booth just next to the entrance of the baseball field. Make sure you go to “gate E” to buy tickets if you are not veteran or obtain special ID to purchase discount ticket or else you will speed time waiting in line for the ticket you will never get.

2. How do I get to Fenway Park by T?
Go on to MBTA.com

Right click the “Subway” icon and find the nearest T station in your current location and go to the “Kenmore station” on every green line or “Fenway Station” on D line on green.
I usually go to “Kenmore station” because it is nearer to the stadium.

By the way, be prepare to fit into the packed and crowed green line in game day and please treat people next to you nice since everyone love our planet and willing to use public transportation. After getting out of the T station, “just follow the crowed” and you will get to the stadium.

3. Can I find food in the stadium?
People get hungry especially when they are cheering for their favorite baseball team. You can bring any kinds of food to enjoy while watching the game but drinks without caps are not allow in the stadium just in case fans are too excited and accidently spell their drinks on others seated next to them and make the place difficult to clean up.
I personally suggest that you can buy a large size of drinks at the food stand in the stadium and share it with one of your friends, and the good news is the food stand usually accept refill!!!
If you really don’t want to carry food to the stadium but still gets hungry during the game, just raise your hand to the vendor walking across the side walk and point out the amount of food you want and they will throw you your food in excellent skill.  There will be a name tag show on the vendor’s shirt which tells the price of the food. So, better bring some cash with you if you want to have some popcorns or hotdogs.
4. What are the baseball songs Red Sox fan usually sing in the 7 game
Even though I am not a super baseball fan, in my personal opinion, there are still some songs that everyone should learn before join in and feel the spirit of American the baseball game. According to my roommate, Sage, there are dozens of baseball songs and every baseball team has their special songs to sing when the time come. She recommends me to learn the three songs that appear the most during the Red Sox ball game. They are “Take me out to the ballgame”, “Sweet Caroline”, “Dirty water”.
Here are some link to see the lyric and hear the music

Finally, please grab yourself a Red Sox baseball hat, bring your passion to cheer for our home team and enjoy the game.
