A good choice for Sunday afternoon- Diesel Café

What can we do at a beautiful sunny afternoon?

Grab some friends to Diesel Cafe and enjoy the lazy but cozy atmosphere might be a good answer.

At first, I was a little bit upset about the menu because most of them are sandwich and I was expecting to have something hot and warm to eat.
But after the first bite of my Monkey Wrench sandwich, the flavor and taste was so delightful which eliminate all my former bad emotion.

There another surprise for me was that the clerk remembered my name when I was placing my second order for drinks after 20 minutes of my first order, which gave me another good impression about this café.

Next time if you don’t know where to go and happened to be hungry and feel lazy about cooking on weekend, spent you time with hippies and enjoy the tasty food at Diesel Café will definitely bring back your energy after a buzy week.

Who is Charlie?

Charlie of the MTA (“Did he ever return?”)

If you live in Boston, you probably carry a Charlie Card in your wallet. Did you ever ask yourself --- who is this Charlie?
Charlie is a name of a fictional character based on the famous song “The MTA Song” (the MTA is known today as the MBTA – the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority). Back in the day, people had to pay upon exiting the train. Poor Charlie boarded the train with ten cents, and the fare was raised 5 cents while he was riding (a 50% fare hike – pretty steep!). Because Charlie couldn’t pay the full fare, he was trapped on the train forever.
Sing along with the famous song, and learn all about Charlie’s adventure (Lyrics below):

Let me tell you the story
Of a man named Charlie
On a tragic and fateful day
He put ten cents in his pocket,
Kissed his wife and family
Went to ride on the MTA
Charlie handed in his dime
At the Kendall Square Station
And he changed for Jamaica Plain
When he got there the conductor told him,
"One more nickel."
Charlie could not get off that train.
Chorus:
Did he ever return,
No he never returned
And his fate is still unlearn'd
He may ride forever
'neath the streets of Boston
He's the man who never returned.
Charlie's wife goes down
To the Scollay Square station
Every day at quarter past two
And through the open window
She hands Charlie a sandwich
As the train comes rumblin' through.
Now you citizens of Boston,
Don't you think it's a scandal
How the people have to pay and pay
And fight the fare increase
Get poor Charlie off the MTA.
Chorus:
Or else he'll never return,
No he'll never return
And his fate will be unlearned
He may ride forever
'neath the streets of Boston
He's the man who never returned.
He's the man who never returned.

Finding Nemo! (still searching)

If you speak to the natives, some of the attractions that will pop up will be the Museum of Science, Museum of Fine Arts, and the Aquarium. These, of course, being the focus destinations in school field trips from our childhood. If you are interested in the aquatic nature Boston has to offer and have a limited time, the choice is clear.

The aquarium features sea lions, cuddly penguins, as well as fearsome sharks and an underwater petting zoo. Be forewarned, that although the aquarium has much to offer, it is not all that large. It can take one-half to one hour to walk through the entire facility, which may leave you disappointed as far as bang-for-your-buck goes ($23 adult, $16 child). Especially if you have kids, the Museum of Science may be a better choice for those with a curious nature.

New England Aquarium Official Website

For some extra cash, the New England Aquarium has IMAX shows, live shows, as well as the infamous Boston whale watch.Without the extras, I'm not sure it's entirely worth it.
